Oh, how we all love Monday mornings, right? My laundry is ready to go for the morning.

Mondays are basement cleaning day and one of my son’s laundry. I break the chores down into smaller tasks per day. This way I can get everything done and dinner ready as soon as I get home from work. One of my sons is a full-time college student, and one of them works night shift with my husband so our dinner is usually around 4:30.

I get prep work done in the evening, so I can leave for work without rushing in the morning . Prep work for our family includes, bringing the designated Laundry of the Day down to the laundry room and making sure the area I will be cleaning for the day is free of clutter. That makes for more time to clean and saves time in the long run. I also make sure my lunch is made, my work bag is packed and my clothes laid out.

I always check my planner for any upcoming appointments for the week. It helps me to plan our dinners.

I get motivated by doing a mental list top 3 tasks to complete within the next 24 hrs. Basically I keep my goals short term and flexible so as not to be overwhelmed. As I complete them, I feel energized to keep it up.
