I hate when you scrape a sticker off of an item, only to have that sticky residue left. I found this tip online one day, years ago, and I’ve been doing it ever since. No need to run out to buy a special product, because you probably already have this secret weapon in your pantry. That secret weapon is Peanut Butter. It seems ridiculous, but IT WORKS, and it cost pennies. I really had my doubts. My husband and my boys laughed at me. Heck, I was laughing at me. I have tried hot soapy water before, oil, WD-40 among other things. I can honestly say, HANDS DOWN, that this works.
Smooth or Creamy peanut butter works best. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter over the residue. Leave on for about 30 minutes.
Take a dry paper towel, newspaper or even a coffee filter, and just wipe the peanut butter off. The residue comes right off. No scrubbing or scratching the surface. No smearing the residue everywhere and making it ten times worse (we’ve ALL done it, LOL)
Remove all the peanut butter, and TA-DA!!!!!!! To finish it, just wash as you normally would. I hope this tip saves you some time, money and from a few headaches.
